Cebu Pacific were formed in 1988, originally under the name 'Cebu Air', and began operating under Cebu Pacific in 1996. That makes them the oldest low-cost carrier in Asia! They currently operate the most comprehensive domestic network across the Philippines, and also fly to a range of international destinations within Asia, the Middle East and Oceania. They are hoping to extend their reach to include Europe, the U.S and New Zealand over the next few years. Currently they service 36 domestic destinations, as well as 26 international destinations across 16 countries. They also operate their own domestic subsidiary, named 'Cebgo', which flies to 30 domestic destinations in the Philippines, including the popular island Batanes, recently added to the network after a public poll was conducted.
They currently operate out of their main hub at Mactan-Cebu International Airport, as well as a secondary hub in Manila. They also have several smaller hubs throughout the Philippines.
Their fleet currently numbers 55 aircraft, with a further 58 on order, consisting entirely of Airbus aircraft including Airbus A320, A321 and A330's. Their aircraft and livery is decorated in hues of bright yellow and blue, making them very easy to spot.
Cebu Pacific were a founding member of the low-cost airline alliance 'Value Alliance', which also includes Scoot and Nok Air (among others). They also code-share with full-service airline Garuda Indonesia.
Cebu Airlines have recently been awarded 'Most Improved Airline for 2020' by airlineratings.com, as well as 'Asia's Leading Most Efficient Airline 2019' at the World Travel Awards.
Cebu Pacific currently only fly from Melbourne and Sydney. They currently don't have any Australian airline partners, so customers from other Australian cities must make their own way to Sydney or Melbourne to jump on a Cebu Pacific flight.
All flights will transit via their hub in Manila, and from there passengers can travel onwards to a wide range of domestic destinations on the Philippines, as well as other destinations across Asia including Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan and China. The airline also flies to the Middle East; Dubai, Qatar and even Saudi Arabia.
Passengers can also take advantage of Cebu Pacific's low-cost airline partners, such as Scoot and Nok Air, opening up even more destinations for travelers on a budget.
Although Cebu Pacific don't run set weekly or monthly sales like some other low-cost airlines, they do often feature different sales throughout the year. Previous sales have included their 'Seat Sale', their Anniversary Super Seat Fest (March), Black Friday (after Thanksgiving), New Years sales (January 1st) and others. They also often feature Earlybird sales (for fares booked several months in advance) and destination-specific sales, with discounted fares to and across the Philippines, the rest of Asia and Australia.
Cebu Pacific often have amazing deals from Australia to the Philippines, with fares to Manila cropping up for under $300 (return)!
There is a dedicated 'Promos' page on their website, or you can sign up to their emails to be notified of any future deals. Or just sign up with us, and we promise we will let you know every time there are great deals!
